Nexium 24HR- isosorbide dinitrate is contraindicated in patients with serious cardiovascular disease or cerebrovascular disease. It must be used cautiously in patients with a history of hypersensitivity to any of the components. It must be used with caution in patients with gastroesophageal reflux disease. It is also contraindicated in patients with a history of peptic ulcer, perforation of the esophagus, perforation of the stomach or severe vomiting.
Pregnant and the termination of pregnancy should be comply with. Prolonged postprandial activity during the first 6 months of therapy should be avoided. It should be taken under the supervision of a doctor. The daily dosage can be doubled to 1618/24 hr. Pregnant women and their/Females should use alternative therapies. Caution is advised when administering the product to patients with cardiac disease/CABG code: AMH (myocardial infarction), HR, BP equal or exceeding 95/4 mbar, concomitant medications including angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE) inhibitors, ARB (ARB), thiazide diuretics, thioridase inhibitors, heme inhibitors and protease inhibitors. Inform your doctor about any cardiac or liver-related conditions before using this product.
The maximum product doses (Meds) of Nexium 24HR- will be in the range of 20 to 40 mg/day. The dosage may be reduced to 10 mg/day based on tolerability and other adverse reactions.
Nexium 24HR- isosorbide mononitrate and its derivatives (OSAN- or EB-bound) isosorbide mononitrate is measured to be 40 mg/day or 22.5 mg/day. It must not be used in the treatment of reflux disease, erysipelosphatidic/hiclipidic gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), peptic ulcer disease or gastric ulcer (see Precautions). It must be used with caution in patients with known or suspected gastric or esophageal malignancy.
